Artist Residence Oxfordshire (The Mason Arms) is a characterful village inn with rooms - a place where locals and travellers come together for great food, relaxed stays and memorable nights. We’re looking for a House Manager to be the heart of the house and help set the tone from day to night.
This is a hands-on, guest-facing role for someone who is a natural host - warm, confident, organised and instinctively great with people. You’ll oversee the flow of the house, from welcoming guests and managing reservations to running service, checking rooms and creating the right atmosphere in the bar.
The Role
You’ll be involved across hotel, restaurant, bar and events, including:
Hosting guests with genuine warmth - from check-ins to evening drinks
Managing reservations and guest flow across the pub, bar and rooms
Setting the vibe in the evenings: music, energy, ambience and service
Leading front-of-house service in the bar and restaurant when needed
Overseeing room checks and presentation standards
Supporting events and private bookings alongside the wider team
Acting as a calm, capable presence who takes responsibility and follows things through
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Is a natural host with presence, charm and confidence
Has strong F&B experience and enjoys running a busy bar
Is organised, detail-driven and cares deeply about standards
Can balance warmth and efficiency — friendly but on it
Is happy working independently and taking ownership

We’re looking for a passionate, Kitchen Assistant & Porter to join our small but mighty kitchen at Artist Residence Oxfordshire, our quirky 16th-century inn with rooms just outside Witney.
We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant & Porter to join our team in a countryside restaurant environment. This role focuses on supporting the chefs and kitchen team with food preparation and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently.

- Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes

We’re on the lookout for a reliable, detail‐driven Housekeeper to join our friendly team at Artist Residence Oxford, our quirky 16th-century inn with rooms just outside Witney.
This is a part‐time position with flexible hours - shifts usually run from 11am – 4pm. You’ll be part of the team responsible for keeping our bedrooms and communal spaces sparkling clean, welcoming, and ready for guests.
What we’re looking for
Someone local, with an easy commute to central Bristol
Dependable and organised, with a strong work ethic
Quick and efficient while keeping an eye on the little details
Takes pride in creating clean, comfortable, and beautifully presented rooms
Previous housekeeping experience in a boutique hotel or similar is preferred

Great hospitality begins with a great breakfast. Artist Residence Brighton is looking for a reliable, quality-driven Breakfast Chef to join our small, friendly kitchen team. This isn’t a corporate kitchen. It’s an opportunity to be part of something personal. We’re an independent boutique hotel—creative, welcoming and proudly unpretentious. Breakfast plays an important part in every guest’s experience, and we’re looking for someone who takes real pride in giving each person a brilliant start to their day.
💷 £13–£14 per hour, depending on experience, plus service charge
You’ll take responsibility for:
• Preparing and cooking breakfast and brunch dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Setting up the kitchen and ensuring everything is ready for service.
• Maintaining quality, presentation and portion control on every plate.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards.
• Monitoring stock levels and helping to minimise waste.
• Working calmly and efficiently during busy services.
• Communicating clearly with the front-of-house and wider hotel teams.
• Supporting other areas of the kitchen when required. This role is all about pride, consistency and genuine care—making sure every guest has a brilliant start to their day.
